About Us

Get Ready is a federally-funded college and career readiness program administered through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. The program helps students from low-income backgrounds and communities of color realize their aspirations through education and career advancement. Get Ready operates in middle and high schools across multiple districts in Minnesota. The program focuses on:

  • providing college and career readiness services to students, families, and educators
  • fostering learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement at partner schools and organizations to increase their college-going culture
  • creating sustainable and systemic change within education by ensuring equitable access to critical college and career resources

Get Ready believes that this multi-layered approach maximizes positive student outcomes and supports Minnesota’s achievement of the Educational Attainment Goal.

History                     Core Values, Vision & Mission              Staff & Schools

Get Ready provides three types of services that empower everyone involved in building a school’s culture: the students, parents, and school staff. By providing these services, we believe that students will receive and reinforce the college and career messaging that will help them realize their aspirations.

One such service is our Postsecondary Pathways Curriculum which hopes to change the narrative of school simply happening to a student to one where the student leads the conversation about what they need from their school experience to get to where they want.

Our Parent Initiatives are services specifically targeted for parents. Using innovative and parent-centric methods, Get Ready believes that parents can help strengthen the college and career message that students receive at school.

Our Staff Professional Development services help school staff become important college and career resources for students.
